Course in Quechua
Quechua is the native language most spoken in Latin America. This language comes from the Proquechua, the originally spoken language in the central mountain range and on the coast of Peru before it reached the south of the country. When the Inca’s founded themselves in Cusco, they adopted very quickly the Quechua as their own language. Because the spreading of the language still wins in importance, the Cultural Centre Urubamba offers you the unique opportunity to learn the language of our ancestors; a language full of traditions and culture.
The main goal of the course is to develop the ability of understanding Quechua - spoken and written. The method we use is based on anthropology, linguïstics and on the Andes pedagogy: MUNAY, LLANKAY, YACHAY.
